Survival Centric: Stick (Impact Weapons)

What is Survival Centric: Stick? Survival Centric: Stick (and all impact weapons) is a comprehensive course built around the tactical use of impact weapons, whether straight fixed sticks or expandable batons. It develops both single-hand and double-hand applications, standing through the floor-ground, with an emphasis on the ability to transition fluidly between grips as conditions change in real time. At its core, the system focuses on your ability to block, strike, and grapple while armed with an impact weapon, integrating principles drawn from police, military, and martial arts disciplines.

The program is designed for seamless performance across all ranges of conflicts, from standing to kneeling to ground fighting. It addresses the full spectrum of engagement, beginning with visual presence and command posture and extending, when legally justified, to the application of deadly force. The curriculum is structured to educate practitioners in the effective use of visual, audible, and physical tactics, ensuring a well-rounded and adaptable approach to real-world encounters. Here is the impact weapon matrix, set as doctrine to be thorough.

“I know who you are, what you want. The primary reason you carry or keep near an expandable baton, some sort of sturdy flashlight, cane, axe handle, bat, even a straight stick, and have these tools in your home, work and car, is to protect yourself. This Impact Weapon course is from and for:

I have discovered, after 50 years of military, police and martial research, training and experience that each group knows things about impact weaponry and survival that the other groups do not know. Each can improve upon each other’s training. Hock has forged this hybrid course, like his other courses, to further this body of knowledge and training. This course stands alone and also represents one-fourth in a series of courses on Hand, Stick, Knife and Gun fighting. It is a hand, stick, knife, gun world.
